Steven Bruni – President

Having served 6 years in the Royal Australian Navy, I am an exceptionally motivated and enthusiastic communications professional, with several years’ experience in both public and private communications including the Sporting & Defence industries, I have played tennis for the past 15 years, I have been on committees and am a qualified Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach. My previous committee role, was as President of the Hastings Tennis Club (HTC) on the Mornington Peninsula, where I worked with the club committee to install ‘book a court’, get all new fencing, and major works and modifications done to the club so that they are competitive in an ever changing sporting market. I am excited to work with all BDTA affiliated clubs and stakeholders to continue to grow the BDTA into the 2019/20 association, I know it can be. Tennis holds a healthy place in my heart, and I am grateful that the BDTA associated clubs & committee have entrusted me with the duty of President. 0413 391 353

Betty Lukas – Vice President

Betty is passionate about Tennis, currently at the Narre Warren Tennis Club and having been the one of the previous Presidents of the BDTA, you know that Betty has the right mind for success in tennis.

Sue Walkerden – Secretary

I became involved in Junior Tennis because my children wanted to play. My own sporting background is in softball. I strongly believe that sport is necessary for our well-being and mental health. I play the occasional game of Social Tennis and enjoy the fun and friendship side of the game. I’m currently at Narre Warren South Tennis Club and undertook the position of BDTA Secretary to assist with the effect provision of Junior Tennis in the area.

Barry Palmer – Score Secretary

Since moving to Victoria in the late 1960s Barry has been member of a number of tennis clubs in the Dandenong and Berwick districts. As the Association Score Secretary since 2000 he was involved in the initial design and start-up of the BDTA web site and the later introduction of the use by the Association of on-line result processing. Barry is also a Life Member of the BDTA.

Alex Hogan – Association Coach

I have been a tennis coach for 11 years. I started as an assistant coach and worked at a number of tennis clubs in the WDTA region. In 2016 I was appointed as the head coach of a tennis club in the BTDA region. I have completed the Tennis Australia Junior Development Coaching and Club Professional Courses. I have a passion for developing tournament-level players, and my programs for them are designed to help them continually improve with each match or tournament they play. I am excited about the growth of the BDTA, and  to support its participation in representative carnivals to challenge young players and to help them achieve their potential in tennis.
